John Drexler, SPHR
John founded Ronin Venture Partners in 1997. Since then, he has successfully completed 150+ projects for 50+ clients.
He has worked with hundreds of C-level executives and senior managers, and thousands of their employees. Over the course of multiple (30+) HR backfill engagements, John has served in the 'solo HR' role, as an individual contributor/ team player in larger organizations, as a manager of teams of ten or more employees, and as the client's senior-most HR leader.
Other specialties include: Executive sounding board. Mentoring high-potential HR colleagues. Talent acqusition (have filled 1,300+ requsitions to date).
John is comfortable and effective working at all levels of the organizational hierarchy, across all technologies and corporate functions, and across generations.
Prior to founding Ronin, John's background includes HR/OD management responsibilities at Apple Computer, Cisco Systems, and Sun Microsystems.
He has also served as Adjunct Faculty, teaching MBA and Continuing Education courses, at three colleges. Courses included Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, and Career Development.
John has a technical undergraduate degree and an MBA. In addition, he has several professional certifications, including SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). He is also a graduate of the three-year program in Organization and System Development at the Gestalt Institute.
